Aldean Heading for Conan

NASHVILLE, TN - July 15, 2009 - It would take a freight train to stop the momentum behind country music star Jason Aldean's smash "Big Green Tractor," which is plowing its way towards the Top 10 and is the fastest rising single of the Georgia-native's career to date.

The surprising love song is fueling over 40,000 digital downloads a week and has continued to help his already GOLD certified third album WIDE OPEN consistently move an average 22,000 units per week. Aldean is in good company among in the Top Five on Billboard's Country Albums Chart among the industry's biggest superstars including Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts and Brad Paisley.

"I won't lie...when you have a big, reactive no. one hit song like 'She's Country' to kick off an album, you just cross your fingers and hope that the next one won't be a disappointment because it's a really hard thing to follow," admits the award-winning vocalist. "'Big Green Tractor' is just performing beyond what I ever could have imagined, and it feels awesome to play live because it's turned into a big old sing-a-long pretty quickly."

Aldean has also just been tapped by iconic American denim maker Wrangler Western Wear to back its new jean line - The Wrangler Retro Line - which will hit stores in August. As the exclusive spokesperson for the new Wrangler Retro collection and the face of the robust marketing campaign - including national television, print, radio and online advertising along with integrated in-store marketing support - Aldean joins the legendary King of Country Music George Strait in the Wrangler family. The new collection is styled with fresh designs, updated fabrics, contemporary trim details and has a lower rise with both boot-cut and straight leg fit options all targeted at a new breed of cowboy who rocks his style with an attitude.

"Because the look of the Wrangler Retro line speaks directly to Jason's fan base we are really excited about this partnership," said Edyie Brooks-Bryant, senior manager of marketing and special events, Wrangler Western Wear. "Jason Aldean's style, attitude and phenomenal musical talent make him an exciting and natural match for this collection, and he has been a Wrangler favorite for a long time."

Fans can catch Aldean headlining his WIDE OPEN arena tour and opening dates for superstar Keith Urban in the coming weeks. He will also perform on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien on Thurs., July 23 and tape an episode of E!'s highly rated late night talk show Chelsea Lately on Tues., July 28.
