MARTINA MCBRIDE CELEBRATES WITH 4,000 FANS Nashville, TN (July 30, 2010) – Country music superstar Martina McBride’s birthday was yesterday and she shared the occasion with 4,000 of her closest friends. McBride, wrapping up a four-week West Coast tour stint, celebrated with a special performance at Chateau Ste Michelle winery in Woodinville, WA. Husband John McBride surprised her by appearing onstage and leading the fans in singing “Happy Birthday” to the superstar. After the show, McBride received the annual birthday gift from her band and crew, Boone’s Farm Strawberry Hill wine, and enjoyed a low-key celebration.   “My birthday was absolutely perfect. Nashville, TN – Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members Lynyrd Skynyrd is set to hit the airwaves this weekend, Sunday, August 1st (9am EST/8am CST) appearing and performing on A&E’s Private Sessions with Lynn Hoffman.

Lynyrd Skynyrd will talk about their inspirations behind the band’s latest studio album, God & Guns (Loud & Proud/Roadrunner Records) and performances include “God & Guns” and “Still Unbroken” off their new album as well as classics, “Sweet Home Alabama” and a special extended version of “Free Bird.”

Private Sessions showcases performances and conversations with top names in contemporary music and film. Each Sunday morning at 9 am EST, Private Sessions dedicates each hour to the body of work of a single artist or group, featuring not only current releases but also the projects that defined and built careers.

Nashville – (July 29, 2010) – Disney Music Group finalized arrangements today for the release of the forthcoming Rascal Flatts record Nothing Like This to be on Big Machine Records. The Rascal Flatts catalogue will remain with the Disney Music Group.
As Big Machine Records becomes the new musical home to Rascal Flatts, who are Country Music’s most awarded group of the millennium and an act at the pinnacle of their career, the final touches are being made on the group’s next album Nothing Like This, its seventh studio release. Nothing Like This will be in stores on November 16 and was produced by Dann Huff and is the follow up toUnstoppable released in 2009.  The lead-off single, “Why Wait,” was written by Neil Thrasher, Tom Shapiro and Jimmy Yeary, and is going out to Country radio immediately.

2010 CCMA Awards Nominees Announced July 28, 2010 Edmonton, AB (July 28, 2010) – The Canadian Country Music Association today announced the nominees for the 2010 CCMA awards at a press conference held in Edmonton, AB.  The awards show will take place Sunday, September 12, at Rexall Place in Edmonton and new floor seats have been released today to celebrate the announcement of the 2010 CCMA Awards nominees.
It’s been a great year for Gord Bamford, and he leads the count with an outstanding six nominations.  He is nominated in every category for which he is eligible, including the coveted Fans’ Choice category.
