RICKY SKAGGS, KATRINA ELAM AND STEVE RICHARD TO PERFORM
ON THE 16th ANNUAL INSPIRATIONAL COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS
The ICM Awards to be Held on Thursday, October 14, 2010
at 7:00 p.m. CST at the Trinity Music City USA Auditorium
NASHVILLE, TN-October 6, 2010—The 16th Annual Inspirational Country Music Awards Show (ICM Awards) announces that Ricky Skaggs, Katrina Elam and Steve Richard are confirmed to perform on the award show. Ricky Skaggs, Multi-Award winning giant and 2009 ICM Mainstream Country Artist of the Year, is nominated in four ICM award categories. Skaggs continues to add to his of awards and genres, the Inspirational Country Music Awards, the Grammy’s, CMA’s and IBMA’s winning as both a country and a bluegrass artist.
Oklahoma native and Universal Records South Recording Artist, Katrina Elam, stars in the upcoming motion picture, Pure Country 2: The Gift, with George Strait, Travis Fimmel and J.D. Parker, which opens in theaters on Friday, October 15, 2010.
A dynamic performer, Steve has toured with rockers like Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, Dickey Betts, and country greats Dierks Bentley, Montgomery Gentry, and Craig Morgan. It’s no surprise, that his latest album, Up To Somethin’, has appeal to music fans of every genre. Up To Somethin' features two radio debuts, "Eighty Acre Church," which speaks to rural core American values, and "Invisible Hand," with a big chorus and lush harmonies. Both songs show a distinct sound and an artist at the top of his game when it comes to turning intimate moments into universal truths.
In addition, Country Artist and TV Celebrity, Lucas Hoge is confirmed to as a presenter. Lucas is in 30 million homes each week on a TV show called "Last Chance Highway" which airs on Animal Planet. The show focuses on the rescue efforts of saving dogs that are on death row and transporting them to their new forever homes. Lucas also penned and performs the TV show theme song which is now available on iTunes and a portion of the proceeds will go directly to the animal rescue. Lucas has also traveled to Iraq, Kuwait and Kosovo to play for our troops and has been confirmed to sing at the National Veterans Day Concert in Washington DC in November. Lucas penned and performs "Medal Of Honor" a song dedicated to our military.
They join performers Andy Griggs, Jeff Bates, Sarah Darling, Branded, The Springs, Tommy Brandt, Emma Jacob, Mary James and Russ Murphy along with Love And Theft, Joey + Rory, The Roys, Nathan Stanley, Dr. Ralph Stanley and 2009 ICM Entertainer of the Year CrossCountry The Band. Additional presenters include Leigh Anne Tuohy, David Nixon, Chuck Day, Rhonda Towns and Laura Dodd.
Storme Warren, host of Great American Country’s "Headline Country" and Sirius XM’s "The Highway," will co-host the award show along with Megan Alexander, "INSIDE EDITION" correspondent. The show will add a "Red, White and Blue" carpet to honor the men and women of our military. Representative of each branch will line the carpet as performers, presenters and celebrity guests arrive before the show starting at 5:00 p.m. CST.
