THE BAND PERRY DEBUT ALBUM SELLS MORE THAN 52K ALBUM
DEBUTS AT #2 ON COUNTRY CHART AND #4 ON BILLBOARD TOP 200

(NASHVILLE, TN) – Country’s hottest new act, The Band Perry, sold over 52,000 albums according to Soundscan with its debut release.  The Band Perry entered the Billboard Country Chart at #2, making it the second highest Country album debut of the yearIn addition, The Band Perry debuted at #4 on the Billboard Top 200 ALL GENRE Chart.
The Band Perry also earns:

·       Highest album debut of any new Country music group since 2006.  

·       #2 debut on the iTunes Digital Album Chart.

·       Current single, "If I Die Young,” at #10 on the Billboard and Mediabase Country Charts.

·       Top 20 single, "If I Die Young,” on the overall iTunes Digital Tracks Chart.

·       “If I Die Young” jumps 13 notches to #26 on the Billboard Hot 100, this week.

THE BAND PERRY released a five-song EP on Republic Nashville in April 2010 at the same time their first single, "Hip To My Heart" broke the Top Twenty at Country Radio. The band's next single, "If I Die Young" went to radio as they toured from one end of the country to another, opening for such artists as Keith Urban, Brooks & Dunn and Zac Brown Band. Written by the band, "If I Die Young" has an inspirational message of appreciating the time one is given - the band has received volumes of letters, emails and YouTube testimonials from fans from 7 to 70 about how the song helped them reflect on their life in a positive way or heal them from the loss of a loved one.
