SARAH BUXTON BEST SELLING COUNTRY DEBUT FEMALE SINCE 2008


Nashville, TN – The captivating and infectious performer and multi-talented songstress Sarah Buxton is soaring high on the news that her eponymous debut album bowed at #12 on Nielsen Soundscan’s Country Top 75 chart. With 8,000 units sold first week this gives Buxton the best selling debut from a female country artist since 2008.
Buxton recently made history with her can’t-help-but-sing-along lead single, “Outside My Window,” when it sold more than 12,000 paid downloads in its first week of release, making it the biggest opening digital single sales from a debut album for any female country artist in the history of Nielsen Soundscan.

Buxton co-wrote ten of the project’s eleven tracks including the can’t-help-but-sing-along lead single, “Outside My Window.” In what is an unusual move among female artists in the country format, Buxton also produced or co-produced four of her debut CD’s sides.
Next up in Buxton’s calendar is an opening slot on the “Shine All Night Tour” with Martina McBride and Trace Adkins through April before joining the Country Throwdown tour in May.
