REBA SCORES 14th TOP FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR NOMINATION
AT 45th ANNUAL ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS



NEW YORK, NY – Reba scored an Academy of Country Music Award Nomination for Top Female Vocalist this morning.  The superstar was surprised live on-air with the news as she and Country star Blake Shelton announced the nominations on the CBS Early Show.  The accolade marks Reba’s 14th Academy of Country Music Award Nomination for Top Female Vocalist alone.  
I was already thrilled to be hosting the ACM’s again, but now to be nominated with all of these great girls in the female vocalist category, I am tickled to pieces,” said Reba.  “It’s been such an amazing yearThanks to Country Radio and to the fans for all your love and support. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – Country music fans are THE best fans in the world.”

Reba will host the 45th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on April 18th, live on CBS, at 8:00 pm ET/ 7:00 pm CT.   The multimedia superstar returns as host for the 12th time.

Reba’s latest hit, “Consider Me Gone,” is the longest-running  #1 single of the superstar’s career.  With it’s 4th week at #1, Reba joins Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Gretchen Wilson as the only female Country artists to log more than 3 weeks at #1 in the past 10 years.

Reba’s reign of #1 hits now spans four decades.  Her current single, “I Keep On Loving You,” the title track from her current album that topped the Billboard Top 200 upon release, is currently a Top 30 hit and rising.  The multimedia superstar was also recently recognized by Billboard, Country Aircheck and Mediabase as the biggest female hit-maker in country music history.

One of the most successful female recording artists in history, Reba has sold over 55 million albums worldwide and her last 13 studio albums have all achieved platinum-plus status. She has won 15 American Music Awards; 12 Academy of Country Music Awards; 9 People’s Choice Awards; 7 Country Music Association Awards and 2 GRAMMY Awards.  Also an acclaimed film, TV and Broadway actress, Reba signed with The Valory Music Co. in November 2008.  The move reunited the multimedia entertainer with industry leader Scott Borchetta, now President and CEO of the Big Machine Label Group, which includes Big Machine Records, The Valory Music Co. and Republic Nashville.

Reba is currently on tour with George Strait and Lee Ann Womack thru the Spring.
