Nashville, March 23, 2010....Keni Thomas and his band, Cornbread, headlined the 30th Annual televised Kenny Rogers' Children's Center Telethon in Sikeston, Missouri, March 20-21 helping to raise a record $443,645 for the Center. The telethon was broadcast regionally on local cable outlets in and around Sikeston, MO.
The Kenny Rogers Children's Center fell slightly short of their $500,000 goal, but raised a record-breaking amount for their upcoming expansion to the center in Sikeston. The money will allow the center to expand the facility and hire additional therapists to serve more children with special needs in Southeast Missouri. The private non-profit center serves children from birth to 21 years of age that have special needs including those with cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, shaken-baby syndrome, autism, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, Williams Syndrome and many other physical and learning disabilities.
