Jerrod Niemann’s “Lover, Lover” Rocks the Radio as Country’s Hottest New Single

Single from Upcoming Album Available Digitally March 9

NashvilleTN – Hot new recording artist Jerrod Niemann is feeling the love at country radio as his Sea Gayle/Arista Nashville single, “Lover, Lover,” leads the pack as the most-added new song hitting country radio playlists this week. Already a noted songwriter best known for co-writing Garth Brooks’ “Good Ride Cowboy,” it’s Niemann’s vocal talent that takes center stage here as the Kansas native tackles all nine parts on a great song he’s loved for years.

Niemann recalls “Lover, Lover” from when it charted in 1993 for group Sonia Dada, and he says, “Just from the first moment I heard it, it always made me feel good.  I found myself singing it over the years, and I loved how it was so acoustic driven and also relied a lot on harmonies.”  When it came time to start work on his album, Jerrod knew he had to include “Lover, Lover.”  He smiles, “Although the subject matter is about a guy leaving a girl, it still feels good.  So I guess if you’re going to be sad, you might as well be tapping your foot while you’re crying.”

Country radio listeners aren’t the only ones falling under the song’s catchy spell, with Music Row’s Robert K. Oermann cheering “Lover, Lover” as “a groove-soaked hand clapper with a rumbling undertow and some super stacked chorus harmonies.  Pretty dang catchy and irresistible.”

Jerrod’s album is slated to arrive later this year, but fans won’t have to wait long for “Lover, Lover,” with the release of the digital single this Tuesday, March 9.

In addition to listening for “Lover, Lover” on the radio, fans have the chance to check it out online, along with a sampling of other tracks and more at www.jerrodniemannofficial.com.

Amid a busy radio tour, Niemann has also been playing selected dates with longtime friend and songwriting buddy Jamey Johnson, including upcoming shows March 19 in AshevilleNC, and March 20 in KnoxvilleTN.
