LADY ANTEBELLUM LEADS WITH SEVEN ACM NOMINATIONS

GRAMMY Winning Trio To Perform On  
TODAYTHE VIEW And
The LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN
 

Nashville, TN – March 2, 2010 – GRAMMY Award winning trio Lady Antebellum led the pack this morning with a total seven ACM nominations. The group’s nominations includeTop Vocal GroupAlbum of the Year for their self-titled debut release; as well as Single of the Year as the Artist and Producer, Record of the Year as the Artist and Composer and Video of the Year for their smash “Need You Now.”  The 45th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards are scheduled to air live from Las Vegas on Sunday, April 18th at 8:00 PM ET on CBS.

“You dream and pray your whole entire childhood to one day do what you enjoy and love doing the most...I feel blessed beyond measure, and am so appreciative of everyone in the country music community for thinking of us,” said Hillary Scott.  “I'm overwhelmed to say the least."

“You always hear about the power of a great song, and there’s no doubt that ‘Need You Now’ has definitely been a career-changer for us...but seven nominations?!  We are blown away,” added Dave Haywood.

“We were actually flying out of Las Vegas when we heard the news about our nominations,” explains Charles Kelley.  “I can’t wait to get back here...its always one of the most fun events of the year, and we have really special memories of winning the ‘New Artist’ award here a few years ago.  I never thought we’d have a bigger night than that...all of this is just unreal!”

The news came as Lady A was in route to New York City to appear on NBC’s TODAY. Fans can catch the trio perform their hits “Need You Now” and “American Honey” tomorrow at 8am ET.
