Joe Gibbs to Give Emory Healthcare 500 Invocation, Flyover Announced for Atlanta Motor Speedway Labor Day Race Weekend
Gibbs’ pre-race invocation will be followed by the National Anthem performed by Ernie Haase & Signature Sound, with a flyover featuring four F-15 C/D Eagle fighter jets from the 159th Fighter Wing of the United States Air Force/Air National Guard stationed at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans in Belle Chasse, La. The F-15 C/D Eagle fighter jets will also perform the flyover for Saturday’s Great Clips 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series night race.
Gibbs has won three NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championships as a NASCAR team owner, in addition to winning three NFL Super Bowls as head coach of the Washington Redskins. In addition to his interest in professional sports, Gibbs is active in Christian ministry and founded Youth for Tomorrow, a residential youth home, private school, and teen counseling center, in 1986.
