LADY ANTEBELLUM DOMINATES SALES
CHARTS DEBUTING AT NO. ONE ON THE
BILLBOARD TOP 200 WITH OVER 480,000 UNITS

LADY A TAKES HOME GRAMMY FOR “BEST COUNTRY
PERFORMANCE BY A DUO OR GROUP WITH VOCALS”

Nashville, TN - Feb. 3, 2010 – The Country Music Association’s 2009 “Vocal Group Of The Year” Lady Antebellum’s sophomore album NEED YOU NOW scored the No. one position on the Billboard Top 200 chart today with sales soaring over 480,000 units.

“We are absolutely stunned…the love and support we were feeling last week from the fans and everyone around us was so incredible,” said Lady A’s Dave Haywood.  “These songs are about our lives…they’re really personal…and to be getting such awesome feedback from everyone who bought the record is so validating.  THANK YOU, Lady A fans…see you on the road soon!”

Reviews of NEED YOU NOW are pouring in with Billboard already proclaiming it will be a “genre staple this year.”

“Charles Kelley's whiskey-rough and Hillary Scott's honey-sweet voices mix like a drink that goes down warm and smooth…In a town where song is king, records don’t often sound this good.” USA TODAY

“Its impressively well-considered second album reveals a connection to the craftsmanship and flair for sordid detail that's served country artists since the heyday of George and Tammy and Dolly and Porter…Lady A delivers an emotional punch.”  Los Angeles Times
“Lady Antebellum's second album, ‘Need You Now,’ achieves what a follow-up to a million-selling debut should. It accentuates what distinguishes the trio's talent-rich harmonies, grown-up melodies and a special group dynamic-by sounding more mature and more aware of what makes them special."  Associated Press

“Charles Kelley's and Hillary Scott's voices intertwine with a piercing white-soul lilt that feels uniquely theirs.”  Entertainment Weekly

More good news came at Sunday’s GRAMMY awards ceremony as the critically acclaimed trio took home the trophy for “Best Country Performance By A Duo or Group with Vocals" for their No. one hit “I Run To You.”  Additionally, following their performance of the title track and No. one smash “Need You Now,” the song shot straight to the top of the all-genre iTunes digital single chart.

“We were so focused on making that GRAMMY performance the best it could possibly be,” remarked Hillary Scott.  “We put all of our emotions into it, and really just went for it.  We’ll never forget what an amazing week we had!”
