JASON ALDEAN RACKS UP THIRD CONSECUTIVE  MULTI-WEEK  NO. ONE WITH HIS SMASH HIT “THE TRUTH”

NASHVILLE, TENN – Feb. 8, 2010 – Country rocker Jason Aldean has been steadily cementing his status as country music’s next superstar.  This week, Aldean’s smash hit “The Truth” holds the No. one spot for another week.  This marks the third consecutive multi-week No. one from his PLATINUM album WIDE OPEN.  Aldean has spent a total of eight weeks at the summit in only nine months, more than any other country artist in the last year.

“I don’t think my fans expected me to come out with a song this traditional, but it was important to me to show them this side of what I like to do as well.  It may have been a curve-ball for them, but for me, it was an obvious nod to some of my childhood influences like McGraw and Strait.” says Aldean.  “The last year has been one crazy ride…thanks to my awesome fans, my producer, my band and crew, country radio and the list goes on and on…my wildest dreams didn’t look this good.”

Aldean is currently setting attendance records and selling arenas out across the country on the winter leg of his WIDE OPEN tour.  He will join Brooks & Dunn for a portion of their “Last Rodeo” tour later this spring.  For a complete list of WIDE OPEN tour dates, please visit www.jasonaldean.com.
