Got Your Country Right Here Tour to Hit 18 Markets
(Nashville, Tennessee...) -- February 8, 2010 -- Grammy, CMA and ACM Award-winning country artist Gretchen Wilson has entertained fans in some of the biggest venues in the world. In a move reminiscent of her early days rising through the ranks, Gretchen will head back to her roots when she embarks on her I Got Your Country Right Here club tour this week.
The rare appearances in small venues are set up as a "hear it before you can buy it" opportunity for fans to listen music from her fourth studio album, I Got Your Country Right Here, which is due in stores March 30, 2010. In addition to singing hits like "Redneck Woman," "Here for the Party," "All Jacked Up" and her new smash "Work Hard, Play Harder," Gretchen and her band will perform cuts from the new album.
"This is where I started," said Gretchen referring to bars and clubs she where she honed her unique style before landing her first record deal. "There's nothing like the immediate feedback you get from the fans when they're just a few feet away."
Booked by William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, the tour will kick off Wednesday, February 10 at Mavericks at the Landing in Jacksonville, Florida and run through March 20 at Knuckleheads in Norfolk, Virginia. Fans are encouraged to check local listings for admission and show times.
