WHITNEY DUNCAN TO MAKE
GRAND OLE OPRY DEBUT
NASHVILLE – Warner Bros. Records artist and small town, skinny dippin’ sweetheart, Whitney Duncan, will grace the stage this Friday, Oct. 16 for her very first performance at the Grand Ole Opry. Duncan, originally from Scotts Hill, Tenn., joins Keith Anderson and Ricky Skaggs in the line-up for Friday’s show.
“It’s such an unbelievable honor to sing at the Opry,” said Duncan. “I’ve always dreamed of performing at the Grand Ole Opry and it’s just so surreal and exciting to get this opportunity.”
In addition to her sweet and sassy sound, Duncan is also an accomplished songwriter; penning songs for artists like Lee Ann Womack and Chrystal Shawanda. Duncan also entertained fans last year with an ongoing episodic installment called, “Whit’s Whit,” which aired on AOL’s “The Boot.”
Duncan recently wrapped up her Red Roof Brand Ambassador tour for the Red Roof Loves Country campaign. Duncan’s self-titled debut album was released in 2007. Her forthcoming album, Right Road Now, includes her latest single, “Skinny Dippin,’” which has sold over 50k digital singles. “Skinny Dippin’” is currently charted at number 17 on the MusicRow charts. This is Duncan’s first Top 20 single.
