GLORIANA NOMINATED FOR COUNTRY BREAKTHROUGH ARTIST AWARD AT THE 2009 AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS

Gloriana To Open For Taylor Swift on The Second Leg of Her Fearless Tour Next Year

Top new country group Gloriana have been nominated for the T-Mobile Country Breakthrough Artist Award at the 2009 American Music Awards (AMAs), set to air live from the NOKIA Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 22nd (8:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT) on ABC.  Fans can vote for the foursome starting Monday, October 19th by going to www.ama.abc.comas well as www.amavote.com, where they can also get further voting details. Gloriana, who just released their second single, “How Far Do You Wanna Go?” from their self-titled debut album to radio, will be hitting the road again next year as openers on Taylor Swift’s Fearless 2010 Tour.

“We are so excited and honored to be nominated for an AMA, especially alongside the Zac Brown Band who we are huge fans of,” said Tom Gossin. “It has been an amazing year so far and it only keeps getting better. Thank you to everyone who has shown us so much support, including Taylor who has asked us to go on the road again – we are unbelievably excited,” added Rachel Reinert.

Gloriana is nominated alongside the Zac Brown Band for the T-Mobile Country Breakthrough Artist Award at the 2009 American Music Awards. Nominees were selected from data supplied by The Nielsen Company's Broadcast Data Systems, which monitors radio airplay performance, and Soundscan, which tracks retail music sales. Gloriana’s debut single “Wild At Heart” is the best selling single by a new country artist in 2009 having sold over 350,000 copies to date. Their self-titled album, which debuted at #2 on the Billboard Country Album Chart and #3 on Billboard's Top 200, has already sold well over 100,000 copies since its release. For the first time this year, fans will be able to determine who should make up the final four breakthrough artist nominees for the T-Mobile Award for each of the following genres: pop/rock, country, rap/hip-hop and soul/R&B. Fans can vote from among two names in each category to determine the one artist that will move on to be included as the final nominee from that category. This is also the only award on the AMAs where fans can text in their votes and continue to vote during the show. The T-Mobile Breakthrough Artist Award will be revealed during the live telecast of the special.

After a wildly successful run on Taylor Swift’s Fearless Tour, which wrapped up over the weekend, Gloriana has been asked to return as openers for the second leg of the tour alongside American Idol alum Kellie Pickler. The second leg will kick off in February in Australia and will return to the U.S. on March 4th where they will make stops in 29 cities including Los Angeles, Tampa, Washington D.C., Houston, Philadelphia, and Denver. Gloriana will also be opening for several other well-known country artists this fall including Alan Jackson, Jason Aldean, and Dierks Bentley.
