BATON ROUGE -- The music lineup of the first Bayou Country Superfest is filled with superstars, as Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, and Brooks & Dunn headline the first-ever music festival held at LSU’s famed Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, organizers announced today.
Scheduled over Memorial Day Weekend 2010 (Saturday, May 29 and Sunday, May 30), Bayou Country Superfest will bring together the biggest stars in country music for a huge two-day celebration on the campus of Louisiana State University. Other artists appearing at the Festival include Jason Aldean, Kellie Pickler, Jake Owen, David Nail, Gloriana, and Justin Moore.

Tickets for Bayou Country Superfest go on sale Thursday, November 5 at 10:00 a.m. CST through Ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster outlets or by calling (800) 745-3000. Bayou Country Superfest will be a reserved-seating event, so fans are encouraged to purchase tickets early in order to get the best seats available. Single-day tickets start at only $40. Special VIP upfront, stage-side, standing-room tickets in an area called the Golden Horseshoe will be available in very limited supply. Four-time and reigning Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year, Kenny Chesney has sold more than a million tickets each of the past eight summers, making him the largest concert draw in any genre this century. Recently announcing he will not mount a major tour in 2010, his Bayou Country Superfest appearance on Sunday, May 30 will be one of the only opportunities to see Chesney next year.
Joining Kenny Chesney on the final night of the festival are the dynamic duo of Brooks & Dunn, the most successful recording duo in music history. With twenty-three #1 hits, Brooks & Dunn recently announced that 2010 will be the last chance for fans to ever see them perform live together. Also appearing on May 30 will be platinum recording artist Jason Aldean, singer-songwriter Jake Owens, and currently with the #1 country song, Small Town USA, Justin Moore.
Meteoric mega-star Taylor Swift headlines the first night of the Festival, Saturday, May 29. Having sold more albums than any other artist in the world in 2008 and currently celebrating four consecutive #1 country songs and two #1 pop radio singles, Swift headlines the opening night along with multiple Grammy-Award winner Keith Urban. Urban, easily one of the most loved and electrifying live performers, is a 5-time CMA nominee and his #1 CD, "Defying Gravity" has spawned two #1 singles, which brings his total to eleven.
