Nashville, TN – October 14, 2009 – Capitol Records Nashville’s hottest rising star Luke Bryan lands at #2 on the Billboard Country Albums chart and #6 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 album chart selling over 57,000 albums of his sophomore album “Doin’ My Thing” in its first week of release. This more than doubled the first week sales of his debut album “I’ll Stay Me” in 2007 proving the Georgia native’s hard work to expand his fan base is paying off.

Bryan has been on an intense 9 day – 9 city tour to promote the release of his album including Statesboro, GA; Leesburg, GA; Charlotte, NC; Greenville, SC; Tampa, FL; Atlanta, GA; Augusta, GA; Chicago, IL and he wraps it up tonight in Minneapolis, MN.
Since the release of his self-titled debut album in August 2007, Bryan has solidified his place among the ranks of some of country music’s biggest and most promising rising stars with two top ten hits (“All My Friends Say” and “Country Man”), two major award nominations including the CMT Breakthrough Video of the Year nomination and his first nomination from the Academy of Country Music for “Best New Male Artist.” He has garnered national sponsors and partnerships with Longhorn Steakhouse, Jack Daniels and his most recent sponsor Miller Lite.
