Nashville, TN – October 12, 2009 –Taylor Swift took a break from the final weekend of her sold-out FEARLESS 2009 tour last Friday to tape an episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show, which is set to air on Wednesday, October 14th.
In May of this year, Taylor visited the show’s Chicago studios to surprise a young fan, Oprah special co-host Jordan Casner, as part of a special episode, and that day Oprah invited Taylor to come back this fall. On Wednesday’s show, Taylor talks with Oprah about her life and her music, and performs her hit “Love Story.” The show also includes Jordan getting a special behind-the-scenes look at Taylor’s FEARLESS tour, and Taylor and Oprah teaming up for a big surprise for some talented teens. Taylor’s Big Machine Records album releases, Fearless and her self-titled debut, have topped 10 million copies in combined total sales, plus an additional 20 million paid song downloads. Big Machine will release an enhanced version of the Fearless album, a CD/DVD dual set entitled Fearless Platinum Edition, on October 27th.
