Gold Before it comes out...Jason Aldean DVD

NASHVILLE, TN - Aug. 17, 2009 - Anticipation is mounting for the release of chart-topping country rocker Jason Aldean's electric live concert DVD WIDE OPEN LIVE & MORE as the RIAA certifies it GOLD even before its release date next week of Tues., Aug. 25.

"I've never been prouder of anything...really ever," says Aldean. "My live show is the basis for everything I do...it's usually the first thing I think about when I'm trying to decide what songs we record and release. My band and crew work so hard to deliver a kick-ass show night after night...even on the hottest day in August...so this feels like the ultimate reward for all of us.

The 15-song hi-definition special captures Aldean's high-octane stage show and includes his current Top 5 and best selling single "Big Green Tractor" and the multi-week No. one and GOLD-certified "She's Country" from his most recent album WIDE OPEN; as well as all the radio hits and fan-favorite album cuts from his first two releases JASON ALDEAN and RELENTLESS.

Addionally, Aldean's concert ticket sales have doubled since the release of his critically acclaimed third album in early April. The new album is fueling concert sell-outs from California east to Virginia and Louisiana north to Michigan.

"Back in the spring, it felt like we were doing ok, you know...like we were starting to get rolling after a few months off for the holidays," explains Aldean. "And then about the time 'She's Country' started really peaking, things just exploded. We're just doing what we've always done...but now crowds are bigger and rowdier than they've ever been. I played every dirty little hole-in-the-wall bar across the Southeast for years working my way up to this, so there's absolutely no better feeling than hitting the stage to that kind of crowd now."

Fans can catch Aldean headlining his WIDE OPEN tour through the Fall. He will also appear on an episode of E!'s highly rated late night talk show Chelsea Lately on Aug. 17 and on ABC's CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock on Aug. 31.
