Fans Can Bid to Take a Lap with NASCAR Superstars
Race fans can still bid on the Ride of a Lifetime, the opportunity to ride in a parade lap with the NASCAR Sprint Cup driver of their choice prior to the Pep Boys Auto 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sunday, Sept. 6.
Benefiting Speedway Children’s Charities, race fans have four days remaining to bid on a parade lap ride with one of 27 NASCAR Sprint Cup stars at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Participating drivers include Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr. among others. In addition to the parade lap ride with a NASCAR driver, the winning bidder and one guest will receive a pit tour and the opportunity to take photos in your respective driver’s pit stall.
Bidding for the 27 individual auctions ends on Sunday, Aug. 30 between 5:00 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. Bidding fans must be 18 years of age or older and payments must be received within 24 hours of the auction close. The auction does not include tickets, transportation or lodging.

The U.S. Army Education Outreach Program has partnered with Tony Stewart to host a free education program at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Friday, Sept. 4 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Stewart, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series’ current points leader and co-owner of Stewart-Haas Racing, will speak to students about goal setting and career-opportunities in motorsports. The speaking panel will also include Atlanta Motor Speedway president Ed Clark, among others.

Free Keni Thomas concert sponsored by Vault
Country music artist Keni Thomas will perform a free concert on the Vault Stage in the Atlanta Motor Speedway Display Lot prior to the running of the Pep Boys Auto 500 on Sunday, Sept. 6.
Thomas, a former Army staff sergeant who served in the 1990s, will perform at 3:00 p.m. on the Vault Stage. Thomas has charted two singles on the Billboard country music chart, in addition to serving as a motivational speaker.
As an Army Ranger, Thomas was involved in the Battle of Mogadishu on Oct. 3, 1993 in Operation Restore Hope, a battle later immortalized in the book and movie Black Hawk Down. Later using his military experience in the private sector, Thomas served as a consultant for the films Black Hawk Down and We Were Soldiers.
Freebies for Race Fans on Race Weekend at AMS
Race fans will find a number of freebies and sampling opportunities on Atlanta Motor Speedway’s property during the Pep Boys Auto 500 race weekend, courtesy of Atlanta Motor Speedway’s corporate sponsors.
Degree V12, a new men’s deodorant and the title sponsor of the Degree V12 300 Nationwide Series race on Saturday, Sept. 5, will provide samples in Atlanta Motor Speedway’s campgrounds and shower houses. Also in the campgrounds, fans can find samples of Bumble Bee Tuna and Sweet Sue Chicken.
Fans can find samples of Coke Zero and Vault in the Atlanta Motor Speedway Display Lot located outside of the frontstretch grandstands.
