(Nashville, Tennessee...) -- November 13, 2009 -- Country star Gretchen Wilson's first single, "Work Hard, Play Harder," on her new Redneck Records label, hits the fast lane on November 22, when ABC TV includes the song in a feature called "The Art of the Burnout" during the NASCAR Ford 400 season finale Sprint Cup race at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. "This is a perfect song for racing, because NASCAR fans really do work hard and play harder," said Gretchen. "It's an anthem for working-class people, and especially working females like myself." The rockin' single is being offered as a free download in People Magazine's December country music issue. Written by Gretchen, John Rich and Vicky McGehee, the song will be included on Gretchen's I Got Your Country Right Here album due out in early 2010. |
