■ JUSTIN MOORE COUNTS OUTLAW DAVID ALLAN COE AS MUSICAL INFLUENCE: Justin Moore recently met David Allan Coe and opened for him in concert in Houston, Texas. Coe joins a list of legends including Hank Williams, Jr., Charlie Daniels, Alan Jackson and Brooks & Dunn that Justin has had the opportunity to open for and meet. Many in the Nashville community distanced themselves from Coe through the years, the most extreme of outlaws, but he still managed to rack up several hits. Given that, we asked Justin what it is about David Allan Coe that influences him. “The thing I respect about Coe is the fact that he does exactly what he wants musically,” states Justin, whose new single “Backwoods” is exploding at radio. “He has never let anyone steer him in a direction he didn't want to go. Probably my favorite song of his is a lesser-known song called ‘Time Off For Bad Behavior’.”
■ RANDOM NOTES: The Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum is hosting a series of autograph signings at the Museum Store in November. Both Justin Moore (November 10th) and Jimmy Wayne (November 28th) are confirmed to sign.
