Billy Deaton age 74 a long time NATD member and friend  passed away Saturday evening October 31, 2009.

The Deacon was brought to Nashville in the early 60's by the late great Faron Young to handle his booking and management chores, he maintained a Music Row office for over 30 years. Billy booked them all Faron, Willie, Merle, Roger, Webb the list is to numerous to list, regardless of who the artist was that you wanted the number to call was 244-4259, The Deaton Agency. 

Billy was a long standing active member of NATD a former officer and recipient of ever award and honor the organization had to offer. His integrity was of the highest caliber, he stood tall with his peers... Billy Deaton set standards we all could live by, he was loved and will be missed.  Please keep his family in your prayers.

Visitation is planned for this coming Thursday with funeral services to be held on Friday details are incomplete at this time. However we urge all NATD Members and Friends to plan to attend the services... As soon as more details are made available to us we will pass them along to you.
