KELLIE PICKLER LAUNCHES “TOUGH” NASHVILLE ,  TN  – Growing up the way Kellie Pickler did, being tough was a necessity. That strength is the essence of her new single “Tough,” the debut single from her forthcoming album. The song was written by hit songwriter Leslie Satcher specifically for Pickler, and is now at country radio.   Nearly three years removed from her sophomore album, Pickler has been writing with a diverse array of songwriters from Dean Dillon to Leslie Satcher, and recording with accomplished producer Frank Liddell and engineer Luke Wooten. During a writing session, Satcher was quickly taken by Pickler’s personality and story and decided to write a song about her. “Kellie speaks lyrically,” enthused Satcher. “Many of the lines in ‘Tough’ were inspired by conversations I had with her. For the second year in a row, country singer Kellie Pickler donned her best Scottish outfit and hit the runway for Sir Sean Connery’s “Dressed To Kilt” charity event. The 8 th  annual celebration was held in  New York City  on Monday night. As the old Scottish proverb goes, “Be happy while you're living, for you're a long time dead,” Pickler was definitely having a good time. “We drank scotch and wore fabulous Scottish designer clothes. It was like a vacation,” she laughed. “I plan to celebrate my 25 th  birthday in  Scotland ,” she continued. And as for what under garments might be necessary when wearing a kilt, Pickler has this advice, "Just keep your legs together," she said. "Be a lady or a gentleman. KELLIE PICKLER STARTS BUSY 2010 WITH 3 rd  USO TOUR   Featured In January Issue of  Shape  Magazine NASHVILLE ,  TN  – After taking a few weeks off during the Christmas holiday, singer songwriter Kellie Pickler is already packing her bags for another eventful year which begins with her third USO Tour. In preparation for the trip Pickler Tweeted, “Started packing for my USO Tour. Think I’m gonna leave the Red High Heels at home for this trip. It’s easier to jump in/out of helicopters in flats.” Although details of the trip are kept secret, past tours have included visits to troops in  Afghanistan ,  Iraq ,  Kosovo ,  Germany , and last year the other artists on the tour included Kid Rock and Zac Brown.
