Today is a sad day in our country music industry.   We have lost another of our friends.  BILLY WILHITE one of country music’s great talent agents, former manager of George Jones, promoter, and one of the driving forces in our music industry for many years.  Billy has not been in good health for some time.  I have been in touch with him on a regular basis and was getting ready to call him this morning, when I received the news from another of Billy’s dear friends, Grand Ole Opry Legend, Jean Shepard.  I feel honored that he considered me his friend, and I was lucky to have him as a friend, and I will miss him and our conversations terribly, on how to change country music.

There are many who do not know Billy, but there are so many of us still on this earth that know him well, and we will all miss him and his love of country music, and he was always there for so many of us.

Billy was 79 years old.  He passed away on today September 16, 2010 at his home.

PLEASE GO TO THE FOLLOWING WEBSITE OF THE FUNERAL HOME AND CLICK ON THE OBITS AND CLICK ON BILLY MAC WILHITE AND ALL OF INFORMATION IS THERE FOR YOU TO SEND YOUR CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILY, AND TO SEE FLOWERS, SHOULD YOU WISH TO.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Billy’s family at this great loss in their life’s.

MAY BILLY’S SOUL REST IN THE PEACEFUL AND LOVING ARMS OF OUR BLESSED SAVIOR.

I've always been a believer in the strength of the song. My problem is I'm a country singer who's had a lot of other musical influences, so my stuff is going to tend to be more AC. That's always been my slam in country music, that I was never a true country artist, even though &q
