AARON TIPPIN “CONNECTS” WITH CANCER RESEARCH

Country Singer To Perform At Reno Air Races
Prize Package Monies Benefit Cancer Care Connection

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (September 9, 2010)—Platinum recording artist, Aaron Tippin, who has earned the reputation as thehardest working man in country music, will bring both patriotism and philanthropy to the 47th Annual National Championship Air Races & Air Show in Reno, Nevada, taking flight onWednesday, September 15 through Sunday, September 19, 2010. Aaron will spend time with fans and attendees and perform his most successful crossover hit, 2001’s “Where The Stars And Stripes And The Eagle Fly” on both Friday, September 17 and Saturday, September 18, 2010.

An aviator himself, Tippin is duly thrilled in the opportunity to perform at the Air Races and then fittingly shift the spotlight to cancer survivor Elaine “Pip” Concklin who is not solely an attendee, Ms. Concklin launched an independent online auction for a specialty package (two VIP passes to the Air Races and two tickets to see Tippin’s Friday evening performance) for a lucky winner to attend the event at John Ascuaga’s Nugget Casino in nearby Sparks, Nevada. All proceeds from the prize package will benefit Cancer Care Connection, an organization close to Concklin’s personal initiative to help others who have suffered with the deadly disease.

“For me, the driving force for this event was to have Aaron serve as a spokesman of sorts for both the races and Cancer Care Connection,” Concklin said. “We are a non-profit cancer support group that helps people with cancer, their families and caregivers. Having an artist like Aaron who is so giving of his time and talent is a true testament to his character.”

Founded in 2000, in Wilmington, Delaware, Cancer Care Connection's mission is to coach people affected by cancer to obtain and use information and referrals to make informed decisions and to take action on their own behalf. The organization offers assistance via their Cancer Resource Coach© and Workplace programs. For more information on Cancer Care Connection, visit: http://www.cancercareconnection.org.

Ever humble, Tippin said, “It was a no-brainer for me to help such a worthy cause. Although I’m looking forward to spending some time with my fellow aviation buffs, knowing that we have been of some service to Cancer Care Connection is what next weekend is all about for me.”
