Whisperin' Bill Anderson not only has the title cut on Jamey Johnson's new 25-song Double CD, but
he also does a duet on it with the young JJ. It's called "The Guitar Song", which he and Johnson
co-wrote with Vickie McGehee telling the story of two guitars hanging on the wall in a pawn shop.
One guitar is old. One is much newer. Eventually, they both get into a conversation about their
careers. The older (whisperin') guitar tells about all the places he's been over the years and all the
big stars who have played him. The other guitar listens in awe....and then, as they say, "the rest of
the story" can be heard on the record!
