Bellamy Brothers' "Jalapeños" Sizzles Past
1 Million YouTube Views

Watch the controversial video HERE

New York, NY - September 24, 2010 - Howard and David Bellamy of theBellamy Brothers may have ruffled a few feathers with their new controversial video “Jalapeños” but there’s no denying that the project’s viral success is a force to be reckoned with as the YouTube sensation recently barreled past 1 million user views.

"I am truly amazed we have had over a million hits on the lowest budget video we have ever done... and all in such a short period of time”  marvels Howard Bellamy.  “Our timing was perfect for today's political environment."

The low budget video, shot in a sleepy middle-Texas cantina, is laced with politically charged humor and preaches the message:

Life ain’t nothing like a bowl of cherries,  there’s too little laughter, too much sorrow.  It’s more like a jar of  jalapeños.  Cause what you do and say today, won’t go away and stay,  it’ll just come back to burn your ____ (explicit)  tomorrow

“Jalapeños” has received both support and criticism across the board from its YouTube viewers.
  • l  giterdonedj says “It's great having good music to give us all a pause to take a        deep breath in this day when the inmates are running the  asylum.
  •
  • l  PalemoonSun says “Amusing, these guys claim to be hippies but are more               Republican than Bush.  I guess this is just another movement that the GOP is          hijacking  to call their own.  Funny how there was not 1 single problem in the          world  until on January 20th, 2009.”
  •
  • l  73drew says “Perfect song for these times....and I'm a homosexual white boy          Methodist!  Thanks Bellamy Brothers for another great song.  Pass me the                  cherries please?
  •
  • l  misterbnia says “Um...what has Obama done regarding gun                                   control...NOTHING!  I'm sick of rednecks crying about guns.
  •
  • l  funkdaddyken says “Saw you on Fox News, and just had to be part of the              FIRST million viewers!  This is a HOOT!  Just shows music is still one of the             best ways of communicating a great  message. Keep it up Bellamy Brothers!”

Look  for “Jalapeños” on the upcoming October 5, 2010 release of Bellamy Brothers Anthology Volume 2.  The Bellamy Brothers are celebrating their 35th anniversary as entertainers this year.

ARRESTED now in Colorado...but what a story and week for 2 brothers and their stripper sister! Text messages and tweets by three fugitive siblings who shot at a police officer and robbed a bank reveal a dangerous mindset and a firm bond between the siblings, "We've certainly seen their mindset when... They shot at a law enforcement officer outside of Tampa Bay, Fla., and when they fired inside that bank in Valdosta, Ga. But these additional texts and tweets have given us additional insight," FBI Special Agent Stephen Emmett told "Good Morning America" today. " We are concerned and feel that they are going to continue and cause problems to say the least for law enforcement." Ryan Dougherty, 21; his sister Lee Grace E. Dougherty, 29; and half-brother Dylan Dougherty Stanley, 26, have been on the lam since Aug. 2 when they shot at a police officer attempting to pull their white Subaru Impreza over for speeding.
