Buck’s Year-End Sales Trend with Soundscan Numbers Surpassing 300,000 units!


Nashville, TN, January 6, 2009….While country music sales dipped in U.S. and Canada in general in 2009, Moraine Music Group’s Canadian singer/songwriter, Johnny Reid, bucked the trend when he closed out 2009 as the Top Selling Canadian Artist on the Billboard Country Album chart with sales scanning an incredible 300,000 plus units!

Reid, who swept the CCMA’s last fall with six coveted awards, dominated Billboard’s Canadian Country Album chart for most of the year with three albums; “Dance With Me,” “Kicking Stones,” and “Johnny Reid Christmas.” All three albums, which were produced by Grammy winner Brent Maher, continue to remain in the Top Ten.
