■ REBA FOLLOWS UP 3 CONSECUTIVE HITS WITH TITLE TRACK TO #1 ALBUM: Following up a consecutive string of hits—the top 10s “Cowgirls Don’t Cry” (with Brooks & Dunn), “Strange”, and the 4 week #1 “Consider Me Gone”—Reba has announced that her new single will be “I Keep On Loving You”, the title track to Keep On Loving You, her first-ever solo #1 album on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart. “We were in the studio recording with Tony Brown, and Tony had said they were just finishing up some of the Brooks & Dunn songs. He said, ‘You ought to listen to this one song’,” recalls Reba, of “I Keep On Loving You” which was co-written by Ronnie Dunn and Terry McBride. “I just love the song. I think it is wonderful. I think it can relate to a couple who have been together for a short time or a long time, but basically a long time. We’ve been through the highs and lows and ups and downs, we’ve fought and gotten back together, but no matter what we go through, I’m going to keep on loving you. I think it’s an anniversary song.” Reba’s new song ships to radio on Tuesday, with an official impact date of February 1st.
■ JUSTIN MOORE’S HECTIC 2009 OPENS DOOR FOR CONTINUED GROWTH IN 2010: The frantic pace Justin Moore has been running at all year has been extraordinary, from solo gigs already on the books to the three month run on Brad Paisley’s AMERICAN SATURDAY NIGHT Tour, it appears 2010 is going to be just as crazy for the rising star on the road, if not more so than 2009! We asked Justin find balance in your life these days with everything moving so fast—and we also asked him about his goals for the New Year. “We definitely thrive on fact that we're hectic,” Justin says of he and his band Double Barrel Ace. “As an artist, we ain't ourselves if we are not out playing on the road. The balance for me is being around my family and friends while I am at home. And, hunting and fishing!” Justin continues: “We had a great year because of a lot of work on the behalf of my label, band, and crew. And, of course, the chance that Country radio took on me is truly why I am sitting here with so many blessings. I'm proudest, as simple as it sounds, that I did it. I was able to go out and play music for my job. Unreal. As far as 2010, I hope to grow more as an artist and songwriter.”
