GLORIANA RECEIVES ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARD NOMINATION FOR TOP NEW VOCAL GROUP

Nashville, TN – Top selling new country group Gloriana has been nominated for an Academy of Country Music Award for Top New Vocal Group of the Year. For the second year, the three newcomer categories — Top New Solo Vocalist, Top New Vocal Duo, and Top New Vocal Group —will be opened up to interactive fan voting throughVoteACM.com. The winner in each category will be announced in mid-March and will move on to compete for Top New Artist of the Year at the 45th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards. The Awards will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Sunday, April 18th at 8:00pm EST on the CBS Television Network.

"It is an absolute honor to be nominated for an ACM Award," said Rachel Reinert. “We are going from just attending the ACM Awards and playing Freemont Street last year, before our CD was even released, to being nominated this year. We are all just so thankful for that and for all the support we have been getting – it’s amazing.”

Fan voting for the three newcomer categories will begin at VoteACM.com on Friday, February 26th, and will close on Friday, March 12th. The winner in each category will be announced shortly after and will move on to compete for Top New Artist of the Year.

Gloriana, who recently was awarded the Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the AMA Awards, has had an exciting year. In addition to having the top selling debut single (“Wild At Heart”) and album by a new country group in 2009, they will make their first trip to Australia next week for a two week run opening up for Taylor Swift. Gloriana, as well as Kellie Pickler, will open for Taylor when The Fearless 2010 Tour returns to the U.S. in March with shows through June, most of which have already sold-out. In addition to opening up for Taylor Swift, the foursome has toured with some of country music’s biggest stars including Alan Jackson, Jason Aldean, and Dierks Bentley.
