Nashville, TN – 19 Recordings/RCA Nashville recording artist Danny Gokey won countless fans as a finalist on Season Eight of American Idol, and Danny will deliver his own brand of musical magic with the release of his Mark Bright-produced debut album, My Best Days, now set for release on March 2.

Country radio listeners and programmers are falling in love with the album’s feel-good first single, “My Best Days Are Ahead of Me,” already lighting up the airwaves and available to fans as a digital single.

Amid an incredibly busy schedule of nationwide radio visits, Danny was in Nashville this past weekend to participate in the annual Sprint Sound & Speed Presented by SunTrust two-day celebration of music and motorsports.  As part of the event, Gokey made his Grand Ole Opry debut at the Ryman Auditorium on Friday night’s Sprint Sound & Speed Presented by SunTrust at the Opry.  Reflecting on his Opry debut and the feelings from the audience and everyone at the Opry, Gokey said it was a wonderful experience and “such a beautiful, beautiful moment.  When they said my name, the crowd applause was just overwhelming; I just felt so welcome.  I was very honored, to say the least.”
