Tennessee gal sings about Skinny Dippin'

I love this young girl who was raised near the Tennessee/Mississippi border in West Tennessee not far from Jackson,Tn..... I downloaded her Christmas song last year,All I Want for Christmas Is You....great version of that song....now she's going for a Summer song...an up and coming talent..singer/songwriter...here's a deal with Red Roof that came out today:

Nashville, TN - Warner Bros. Records’ Whitney Duncan gives a cute, innocent take on skinny dipping in her new single, “Skinny Dippin’,” set for release to radio onTuesday, June 9. The single, will go on sale to all digital retailers on Tuesday, June 16 and the “Skinny Dippin’” ringtone will be available to all mobile retailers around June 9. The music video is being filmed in Nashville this week and directed by Roman White. “Skinny Dippin’” will be featured on Duncan’s forthcoming album, Right Road Now, set for release in 2009.

In addition, Duncan has also has partnered with Red Roof® as a musical ambassador for the brand in 2009. She will perform at various Red Roof locations across the country and guests will get to see clips from her performances and interviews on Red Roof’s interactive web site, redrooflovescountry.com. Whitney is also featured in a series of short films and sponsorships on GAC-TV, representing Red Roof. Red Roof will feature Whitney in a series of national radio promotions this summer to coincide with the release of “Skinny Dippin’.”

An intriguing voice in contemporary country music today, Duncan’s forthcoming album, Right Road Now, was produced by John Shanks and Mark Bight. All tracks onRight Road Now are co-written by Duncan, who shows a depth and vocal prowess in her songwriting. She has also written singles for other artists, including Lee Ann Womack and Crystal Shawanda. Duncan hails from a small town in Tennessee called Scotts Hill, population 911.

This week, Whitney will be appearing at several events in Nashville during the 2009 CMA Music Festival, including participating in the Country Weekly Fashion Show and City Of Hope Celebrity Softball Game on Wednesday, participating in the Andy Griggs Poker Tournament on Thursday, signing in the Warner Bros. Records’ booth on Friday at the Nashville Convention Center, and signing in the GAC booth at the Nashville Convention Center, performing on the Hard Rock Stage and participating in the DIY Demonstration on Saturday.
