TOBY KEITH, TRACE ADKINS, and CARTER’S CHORD
SET FOR JANUARY 29 OPRY AT THE RYMAN PERFORMANCES
NASHVILLETenn.  (January 14, 2011)  Show Dog-Universal Records artists Toby Keith, Trace Adkins, and Carter’s Chord are all set to play the Grand Ole Opry at the historic Ryman Auditorium on Sat., Jan. 29.  In addition to the regular 7:00 p.m. show, a second show at 9:30 p.m. has been added. The labelmates will appear with other Opry favorites on both shows, the last shows of the Opry’s winter Ryman run before it returns to its permanent home, the Grand Ole Opry House, on Fri., Feb. 4.
This will mark the second time in Keith’s career that he has played the Opry; his debut performance was Dec. 14, 2002.  “The Opry is the most prestigious historical music-related event in all of country music,” Keith says. “I don't live in Tennessee and it's always been difficult for me to make the arrangements to perform on that grand stage. But it doesn't keep me from listening almost ritualistically to it.”
Keith is nominated for the Best Male Country Vocal Performance Grammy for his emotional tribute to his late friend Wayman Tisdale, "Cryin' For Me (Wayman's Song)." He was recently honored with the Video Visionary award during FOX-TV's American Country Awards. "Bullets In The Gun," his current single and the title track to his latest album, is in the top 15 on the charts and climbing.
Carter’s Chord, a sister trio raised just outside of NashvilleTN will be making their Grand Ole Opry debut.  Their upcoming single, “A Little Less Comfortable,” hits radio January 31st with a music video soon to follow.  Look for an album from the group later this year.
Grand Ole Opry member Trace Adkins’ current single is “Brown Chicken Brown Cow” from his Cowboy’s Back In Town album. Adkins is nominated for a GRAMMY® for his “Hillbilly Bone” collaboration with fellow Opry member Blake Shelton.
