FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
ALAN JACKSON PARTS WAYS WITH LONGTIME LABEL
(January 20, 2011) Following a partnership that yielded more than 50-million album sales, a dozen platinum and multi-platinum records, 35 chart-topping hits, and dozens of awards and honors – Alan Jackson has left his longtime record label, Arista Nashville.
“I’ve had a great run with Arista, going all the way back to the beginning of my career when I signed with Tim DuBois. I’ve gotten to work with some real great people along the way and we accomplished a lot,” Jackson says. “It just seems to me like the time may be right to change things up a bit and see what comes next.”
Jackson was the first artist signed to Arista Nashville after the label was founded in 1989. He is gearing up for the first leg of his 2011 tour with sold-out shows in Canada followed by his highly-anticipated first tour of Australia. He is currently writing and working on songs for his upcoming new album – stay tuned!
Jackson is represented by the co-op for management and by WME.
