RASCAL FLATTS TOUR TO RE-LAUNCH IN JANUARY 2010
“RASCAL FLATTS AMERICAN LIVING UNSTOPPABLE TOUR”
NASHVILLE – (December 7, 2009) – Five-Time American Music Award Group of the Year winners and the most awarded group in country music today, RASCAL FLATTS, has just announced the final leg of their “Rascal Flatts American Living Unstoppable Tour,” sponsored by JCPenney with associate sponsor Hershey’s. The tour will re-start on January 15 & 16 in Uncasville , CT at the Mohegan Sun Arena and the band will perform 23 shows through March 13 wrapping in Oklahoma City at the Ford Center . Darius Rucker will continue as opening act.
The first leg of the “Rascal Flatts American Living Unstoppable Tour” sold 550,000 tickets in 39 shows since it began in June 2009. This total also includes the two sold-out stadium concerts at Chicago ’s Wrigley Field and Columbus ’ Crew Stadium. The band’s 2009 tours have sold over a million concert tickets, bringing their 4 year total to just over 4 million tickets sold.
Rascal Flatts newest CD Unstoppable has been certified platinum for sales in excess of 1 million. The CD launched as the group’s fourth consecutive studio album opening at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, more than any other country artist in the history on Soundscan. This brings their career album sales to a staggering 20 million units in just this decade and the band has also amassed 22.5 million digital downloads. Rascal Flatts are the largest selling and grossing group in country music history and named a Billboard Top Ten Touring Act in all genres with more venue attendance records than any other country act. Recently the group received nomination honors for the People’s Choice Awards in the Favorite Country Artistcategory and a nomination as Best Country Performance by a Duo Or Group with Vocals for “Here Comes Goodbye” for the Grammy Awards.
