STEVE AZAR RETURNS TO THE ANNUAL MURRAY BROS. CADDYSHACK CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMNET
Event highlights include a pre-tournament party where players have a chance to bid for a celebrity teammate, and a post-tournament awards party. In previous years surprise performers have included Azar, Jimmy Fallon, Darius Rucker, Branford Marsalis, and many others.
Proceeds from the tournament this year will benefit the Florida School for the Deaf & Blind Summer Academies, located in St. Augustine, Florida.
"It's always a blast to get together with all the Murray Brothers at their event and to be part of raising money for such a great charity," says Azar. "I also look forward to the chance of dethroning last year's Sterling Sharpe's team and coming home with the win."
Throughout his career, Azar has charted dozens of hits including "Waitin' on Joe," "I Don't Have to Be Me ('Til Monday)," "You're My Life," "You Don't Know a Thing," and "Sunshine."
Azar recently released his new single "Hard Road," the third single from his critically-acclaimed Slide on Over Here album. Co-written with Nashville hit maker James House, "Hard Road" is the follow-up single to Azar's Top 20 hit, "Sunshine," which became his highest-charting hit last year and also produced a #1 music video.
When Azar is not recording or on tour, he enjoys relaxing on the golf course. He has been regarded by many in the golf industry as one of the top musicians who play the sport. In fact, he has twice been named one of the top 5 players in Golf Digest's "Top 100 Musicians That Golf."
