Jimmy Buffett has joined forces with Annie Liebovitz, the Tribeca Film Festival and Robert De Niro, Vera Wang, Dr. Ruth and more for a special holiday campaign by Bloomingdale’s to benefit the Child Mind Institute.

The Child Mind Institute was founded by Harold S. Koplewicz, MD, and Brooke Garber Neidich to transform mental health care for the world’s children. This unique holiday campaign offers you the opportunity not only to bid on once-in-a-lifetime experiences during the upcoming holiday season, but also to help find more effective treatments for the 15 million children affected by psychiatric and learning disorders in the United States.

The first part of the program is a Charity Auction comprised of once-in-a-lifetime experiences that are available for bidding from November 29 to December 10, 2010 on eBay. One hundred percent of the proceeds from these special experiences will go directly to the Child Mind Institute. The following experiences are included in the auction:

Drummer for Mellencamp, Survivor found dead in home

September 11, 2009 STNGWire A southwest suburban Lockport musician who played with Survivor, John Mellencamp and Deana Carter was found dead in his home Tuesday night.Kyle B. Woodring, 42, of the 15000 block of West 167th Street in Lockport, was pronounced dead in his home about 9 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Will County Coroner’s office. The coroner’s office said Woodring died from hanging, but the manner of death will be determined at the conclusion of a Lockport police investigation. Woodring, who the coroner’s office described as “an accomplished musician,” moved to Chicago from Michigan in 1987 and joined the band Survivor, according to Woodring’s Web site. Woodring also played drums on tours with John Mellencamp and county star Carter. He appeared on talk shows hosted by Jay Leno, David Letterman, Conan O’Brien and Wayne Brady, the site said.
