LOS ANGELES, November 11, 2010- Garth Brooks' first year out of retirement has been as busy if not busier than any of his previous years prior to his announcement that he was retiring.
"Unanswered Prayers", a movie for television based on Garth Brooks' 1991 #1-single of the same name, will air on Lifetime, November 29, 2010. "Unanswered Prayers" is executive produced by Garth and Lisa Sanderson for their Red Strokes Productions. Filmed in Virginia, the film stars Eric Close, Samantha Mathis, Mädchen Amick and tells the story of a happily married father who's life changes when the woman of his high school dreams returns to town.
Also coming up soon you'll be able to catch Garth on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Oprah Winfrey Show.
The Wynn Las Vegas has just announced new dates for Garth Brooks at their intimate Encore Theater at the Encore Resort. Tickets for the next series of highly anticipated concerts will go on sale, Saturday, November 13 at 10 a.m. PT. Tickets are $225 plus service charge and tax ($253 total). Of the raise in ticket price, Steve Wynn said, “My decision to raise the ticket price was a simple one. The demand for Garth was so overwhelming that it caught us by surprise. We could fill a theater many times the size of this, twice a night. The most important thing for our company is to give people value for their entertainment dollar. The contact with Garth Brooks in the Encore Theater is the equivalent of being in his living room. When the greatest live performer of our time appears in such an intimate theater, the seats should be priced at least competitively with other great Las Vegas entertainers. In terms of value, I believe that Garth Brooks is still under-priced and represents the greatest entertainment value in modern Las Vegas.”
“I am flattered Steve Wynn believes in me as an entertainer and my deal with him is not affected by ticket price. My only concern is the audience. Right now, the Vegas audiences are some of the best I have ever played for and I’d hate to see that change for whatever reason,” said Garth Brooks.
