FROM SEA TO SHINING SEA AND BEYOND
Aaron Tippin Entertains Troops During Holiday Season

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (November 17, 2010)—In keeping with Tippin tradition, platinum recording artist Aaron Tippin is gearing up to take his show overseas this holiday season. During the early winter months, when most take time off to spend at home, Aaron is excited to go where others won’t.

With plans to entertain our nation’s troops and families who are stationed away from home during the year’s most-treasured occasions, Tippin is eager to share his time with the men and women who risk their lives daily for our country.

“I know it’s customary to spend time with my wife, Thea, and the kids, and sometimes, it’s hard to go. But to share my gratitude (and the heartfelt thankfulness of our family) with the men and women serving our country, that’s an absolute honor and a gift in itself--to perform for them during the holidays, a time when they miss being home the most. I can bring a little piece of ‘home’ to them,” Aaron added.

Setting his pace…while Americans all over the country honored our military on Veterans’ Day, Aaron joined the staffers of Southwest Airlines at the Operation Freedom Bird program last Thursday. Each year, Operation Freedom Bird selects a group of 50 deserving veterans who take an emotional journey to see the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C.  In route from Santa Ynez, CA back to Nashville, Aaron made a special stop in Phoenix, AZ—the program’s origin—to pay tribute to the veterans with an acoustic performance.

After participating in this sentimental affair, Tippin is now preparing and packing to head to the Far East for his ninth consecutive year. There, he will express his personal thanks to our troops currently stationed in Iraq by performing in a Thanksgiving show. He then returns to the States only to make a quick turnaround for his very first visit to Japan. Tippin is scheduled to deliver a Christmas performance in Okinawa for the United States Marine Corps at Camp Hansen. He’ll be in Japan December 17-20, 2010.

"The only Japanese I know, and can speak well, is Toyota, Yamaha, Mitsubishi, Kawasaki and sushi!"  Aaron said in jest. "All kidding aside, I'm honored to head to another part of the world to visit our brothers and sisters in the military. The only problem I foresee is whether the Japanese can understand hillbilly!”

I've always been a believer in the strength of the song. My problem is I'm a country singer who's had a lot of other musical influences, so my stuff is going to tend to be more AC. That's always been my slam in country music, that I was never a true country artist, even though &q
