CARRIE UNDERWOOD WRAPS AUSTRALIAN PROMOTIONAL TRIP 
 
HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE MAJOR TELEVISION AND MUSIC INDUSTRY PERFORMANCES
 
Nashville – (June 20, 2011)  - Carrie Underwood’s trip to Australia to promote the June 10th release ofPLAY ON: DELUXE EDITION and the Australian film release of Soul Surfer, her big screen debut, concluded this past weekend.  During her nearly 2-week visit down under, she posed for magazines, interviewed with countless television programs, radio stations, print publications, and online outlets, as well as delivered standout performances on major Australian television shows including Dancing With the Stars and Sunrise.
 
Underwood’s travel from her first destination city of Melbourne to Sydney delivered her almost straight to theSunrise set via an unplanned 11-hour bus ride instead of flying due to the ash-cloud from the Chilean volcano.
 
“I didn't want to take the chance to miss performing for my fans in Sydney, so we decided to get a bus and make the drive!” said Underwood. “It also gave me an opportunity to see more of the country than I'd otherwise get to see which was very exciting!"
 
Also while in Sydney, Underwood received a roaring reception while performing for an exclusive VIP audience of media and music industry professionals at the renowned Museum of Contemporary Art.
 
After Melbourne and Sydney, Underwood traveled to Brisbane for additional appearances, including a halftime performance at the Broncos vs. Dragons National Rugby League match, as well as a performance and extended fan autograph signing in downtown Brisbane.
 
Though she had a very intense work schedule on the trip, Underwood also made time to take in some of the local sights with her band and crew, including the famous Melbourne Zoo and a private tour of the prestigious Sydney Opera House.
