Singer Michael Martin Murphey's Facebook Page Connects Dots To Lost Wallet

LaCrosse, WI — By putting two and two together, an observant Facebook user in LaCrosse, WI, connected an unusual set of dots and saved a wallet belonging to the wife of famed Cowboy Singer Michael Martin Murphey.

Murphey, known for such massive hits “Wildfire,” “Carolina In The Pines”, and “Long Line of Love, and " Cowboy Logic" from his million-selling series "Cowboy Songs", was a thousand miles away from his wife, doing an interview with Colorado radio station, KFKA 1310, when a call came in from The Bean Juice Coffee Shop in LaCrosse, explaining that Murphey’s wife, Karen, had left her wallet in the shop earlier in the day.

“Karen was busy moving some horses from our ranch to the World Paint Horse Show in Fort Worth, and she stopped on the way out for a cup of coffee,” Murphey said. “She was already several hours down the road when a friend at the Bean Juice Coffee Shop went on my Facebook page to find I was doing a phone-in interview KFKA in Colorado. The coffee shop contacted the radio station, the station called my booking agent in Nashville, Mike Drudge, and Mike called Karen to tell her ' don't worry- your wallet is safe' !

“This really illustrates the power of Facebook,” Murphey said, adding “We really use our Facebook Fan Page, posting information often, and it’s obviously working for us; it literally even saved our pocketbook! My thanks to my Facebook friends!"

Michael Martin Murphey is Today's Number One songwriter-singer of American Cowboy Music, the Founder of the popular festival WESTFEST.US, and headliner of the Rio Grande Scenic Railroad Boots and Roots Summer Concerts in Colorado.
