NASHVILLETenn.  Brad Paisley’s highly anticipated H2O World Tour presented by Chevy will kick-off this coming weekend with shows in Virginia Beach on Friday and Washington DC on Saturday.

The last two weeks Paisley and team have been regrouping after the flooding devastation and loss in Nashville that hit May 3 – the day rehearsals for the tour were supposed to start.  The rehearsal hall and tour storage facilities were flooded and it wasn’t until Friday, May 7 that Paisley was able to gain access to the storage facilities that housed his gear, guitars, staging, lighting, video, etc…to take inventory of what was salvageable. After assessing the loss his crew went into recovery mode by ordering new equipment or arranging for refurbishing of some.  Another rehearsal hall was obtained and late last week Paisley and band were able to rehearse for a couple of days before heading to Virginia Beach this week.

“When I finally walk out onstage in Virginia BeachVa., on the first date of the H2O tour – no need to point out the irony, thank you – it will mean so much to all of us than any other tour we’ve ever done.  Or probably ever will.  I will stand up there more thankful than I’ve ever been for the people in the audience, the band at my back, the crew that makes it happen and the town I’ve never been prouder to represent,”  writes Paisley in the current issue of Billboard magazine.

H2O World Tour will hit more than 75 cities in the United StatesCanada and Europe over the next 12 months.  Chevy is title sponsor for the tour.  Special guests will be Darius Rucker and Justin Moore.  Appropriately, Paisley’s current single is “Water,” from his American Saturday Night album.

H2O World Tour will include a “Water World Plaza,” sponsored by Skinny Water and Sea Ray Boats, and will turn every city into a water festival.  Focal point in the Plaza area will be the “Water World Plaza Stage” featuring emerging new stars Easton Corbin, Steel Magnolia and Josh Thompson.  The tour extravaganza will open each day at 4:00pm with music starting at 5:00pm.  In addition to the music stage there will be multiple water-themed activities – including a Chevy H2O FLW fishing simulator, dunking booth, Hope Through Healing Hands’ campaign booth, and more.

Paisley is proud to partner with Hope Through Healing Hands’ campaign for clean, safe water.  With donations made to the campaign at each tour stop HTHH will be digging wells and purifying water in America and around the world.

Kenny Rogers featured in Billboard’s 50 th  Anniversary of Adult Contemporary chart   Rogers’ Ranks Sixth-Best All Time and Fourth-Best Male with 28 AC Top 10 hits Nashville, TN (August 25, 2011) – According to Billboard, Kenny Rogers’ 28 Adult Contemporary Top 10’s are sixth-best all-time, and fourth-best among men, trailing only Elton John, Neil Diamond and Elvis Presley.  Kenny Rogers' feats on the AC chart include 47 hits, tying him with Barry Manilow for seventh-most in the chart's history. No core country artist has crossed over more titles to AC. Rogers has scored eight AC No. 1s. Rogers: "I remember when [the AC charts] were established, I thought it was so cool. I've always been a believer in the strength of the song. My problem is I'm a country singer who's had a lot of other musical influences, so my stuff is going to tend to be more AC. That's always been my slam in country music, that I was never a true country artist, even though ...
