AFM LOCAL 257 ESTABLISHES NASHVILLE MUSICIANS FLOOD RELIEF FUND
May 10, 2010-Nashville, TN (For Immediate Release)
The Nashville Chapter of the American Federation of Musicians, AFM Local 257) has announced the establishment of a special flood relief fund.
"Our community has been devastated by the recent floods and the Nashville Musicians Association is making every effort to help our members in this time of need," says AFM Local 257 President Dave Pomeroy.
"Some of our members have suffered losses to their homes while others are reporting overwhelming losses to studios, instruments and gear which severely affects their ability to earn a living. Like a lot of people in Middle Tennessee, many of our members are without flood insurance."
To help, a “Nashville Musicians Flood Relief” bank account at SunTrust’s Music Industry branch has been set up. There are several ways to donate:
- By PayPal online at wwwnashvillemusicians.org
- Any SunTrust branch office to the “Nashville Musicians Flood Relief Fund” account
- In person at the AFM local office or by mail. Make check payable to the Nashville Musicians Flood Relief Fund and send to
- AFM Local 257, 11 Music Circle North, Nashville, TN 37203.
