OVER 1.7 MILLION VIEWERS TUNE IN TO WATCH THE JUDDS ON OWN
Series Continues This Sunday at 10pm EST
Nashville, TN (April 15, 2011) – The Judds highly anticipated original docu-series debuted this past Sunday with over 1.7 million total viewers tuning in to watch the special two-hour premiere featuring the mother-daughter duo preparing for their first tour together in 10 years. Outside of launch week, The Judds was the highest rated premiere on the new Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) as well as the number one social media trend for cable during the episode. Hundreds of viewers logged on to participate in a live, online chat during the two-hour premiere.
The country legends held nothing back during the 2-hour premiere, offering viewers a behind-the-scenes glimpse of both their personal and professional lives. Whether it was disagreements over stage props and costumes or extremely intimate conversations with their life coach, Ted Klontz, fans and viewers were witness to it all. The audience got the opportunity to witness the elements that make up the complex relationship between Naomi and Wynonna as well as the excitement and emotion that comes along with putting together a nationwide farewell tour.
