Trisha Yearwood has another cookbook on store shelves. But the singer admits she was reluctant to write Home Cooking with Trisha Yearwoodbecause she thought she'd put everything she could in her first book, Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen. She explains, quote, “I just didn't want to do it if it couldn't be great, and I didn't just want to throw in, 'Well, here's just some leftover recipes,' you know, I just didn't want to do it if it couldn't be as good as the first one.  And I didn't know how it could be, because that first book had all the basics, you know – fried chicken and mashed potatoes and roast beef, and you know, all the things that are just basic meals, and I wanted this to be the same.”  But Yearwood agreed to pursue the project.  She explains that in advance of a family reunion she asked for contributions, and notes she was "overwhelmed" with the response.  Husband Garth Brooks also adds to the book -- he penned the forward.  The country star is now supporting the release with TV appearances and a book signing tour [see full list of book tour dates here].  This week she visited ABC's Good Morning America [watch here], The View [watch here] and Fox & Friends[watch here].  Trisha also hosted a live online chat this weekend that can be viewed here.
