Aldean Scores Four CMT Award Nominations
and Sets New Attendance Record at Closing
Night of WIDE OPEN Tour
NASHVILLE, TENN – April 14, 2010 – Hot off his sold out, record-breaking WIDE OPEN tour, country rocker Jason Aldean has a full schedule of West Coast appearances, kicking things off with a performance on the 45th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, live from Las Vegas on Sun., April 18 at 8pm ET/PT on CBS. Aldean’s string of television appearances continues the following week with a taping of the ACM Presents: Brooks & Dunn - The Last Rodeo tribute concert and performances on Lopez Tonight and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
Aldean snagged four nominations earlier this week for the2010 CMT Music Awards in the categories of Video of the Year and Male Video of the Year for his multi-week No. one hit “The Truth,” and Collaborative Video of the Year and CMT Performance of the Year for “Heaven,” a duet with Bryan Adams from CMT Crossroads. Fans can vote for Aldean now through May 3 at www.cmt.com. The show airs live from Nashville on June 9.
Additionally, superstar duo Brooks & Dunn have invited Aldean to bring his high-energy live show their LAST RODEO tour, beginning April 23 in Wheatland, CA. Aldean’s own hugely successful WIDE OPEN tour went out with a bang this weekend in Terre Haute, IN, setting a venue attendance record at Indiana State’s Hulman Center when over 8600 fans packed the house for the closing night of the tour. The previous record was set by Brooks & Dunn in 1993.
