Trio To Perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and ACM Awards This Week
NASHVILLE, TENN – April 12, 2010 – GRAMMY Award winning trio Lady Antebellum’s current single “American Honey” claims the top spot on Billboard’s Country chart this week, while the title track holds strong at the top of Billboard’s Adult Top 40 chart for the third consecutive week. The second single off their PLATINUM selling No. one album NEED YOU NOW, “American Honey” is the group’s third consecutive No. one song in just eight months for a total of seven weeks at the summit. Similarly, the album is now spending its 11th week at No. one on the Billboard Country albums chart.
The trio will kick off a hectic week of performances with an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno tomorrow night before heading to Las Vegas to headline the annual Fremont Street Experience concert on Friday. The most nominated artist at this year’s ACM Awards with a total seven nods, the trio will perform live on the show this Sun., April 18 at 8:00 PM on CBS. The next day the group will join the biggest stars in country music for a taping of the ACM Presents: Brooks & Dunn - The Last Rodeo tribute concert in Las Vegas.
