It's Not Just a Hotel, It's a State of Mind.'
JIMMY BUFFETT'S NEW MARGARITAVILLE BEACH HOTEL ISSUES GUESTS A 'LICENSE TO CHILL' WITH ITS OPENING ON JUNE 28th IN PENSACOLA BEACH, FL.
PENSACOLA BEACH, Fla., June 28 /PRNewswire/ -- On June 28th, Margaritaville Beach Hotel opens as the world's first Margaritaville Hotel on the barrier island of Pensacola Beach in the Gulf of Mexico. After two years in the making, the 162-room hotel gives guests what everyone longs for at some time -- an authentic island escape.
The Margaritaville Beach Hotel is set on over 800 feet of stunning gulf-front property, with an additional 800 feet overlooking the bay. The guest rooms, which include 24 suites, all overlook the bay or the gulf. Inspired by the lyrics and lifestyle of Jimmy Buffett, the hotel's sense of place and attention to detail make it the perfect setting for guests who want to escape the everyday, engage their senses and make lasting memories. Anyone who has ever dreamed of escaping to a tropical island and sipping a margarita will enjoy being immersed in the barefoot elegance of Margaritaville Beach Hotel.
When guests walk through the doors of this Florida Beach Vernacular-styled hotel they're greeted by a panoramic view of theGulf of Mexico and a warm welcome. Visitors will be served fresh Florida orange juice upon arrival, calling to mind the hospitality of Florida's early years as a vacation destination. The island-inspired surroundings feature spectacular art, teak and reclaimed oak furnishings, ceiling fans and breathtaking views. The hotel's surroundings complement its beach setting both in design and decor with soft tans, sea greens and blues throughout.
As expected in Margaritaville, music, activities, relaxation and dining are the headliners here in the overall atmosphere of the hotel. Whether guests are lounging on the pool deck with a signature cocktail, hanging out at the beach pavilion, appropriately named Land Shark Landing, or dining at the restaurant, music will set the stage for a good time. The hotel's restaurant, Frank and Lola Love Pensacola, was named after Buffett's 1982 song about a couple, Frank & Lola, on their second honeymoon inPensacola. The coastal-influenced menu offers Apalachicola oysters, local fresh seafood and great steaks. With its massive windows overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, the restaurant will be appealing to both hotel guests and local residents.
For guests who want to keep the party going, the Land Shark Landing offers a "no shirt, no shoes, no problem" policy in an open air setting that sits right on the Gulf of Mexico. The pavilion, outfitted for fun with beach ping pong tables, will be the place to go for live music, ice cold beer and margaritas, burgers and hot dogs, and perfect sunsets. In addition to the Frank and Lola Love Pensacola cafe and Land Shark Landing, a Margaritaville Restaurant will be opened in the next phase of the development giving guests even more entertainment choices.
The Margaritaville Beach Hotel will be more than a destination; it will be an entire change in latitude (and a change in attitude). Vacationers have the option of enjoying beach activities, soaking in the sun or just kicking back and doing nothing at all (with a cool boat drink, of course). Other practical features include a business center, health/fitness room and group/meeting facilities for smaller corporate and social events. A water park is planned for the future which will add to the hotel's high entertainment value.
Pensacola Beach is the ideal setting for The Margaritaville Beach Hotel; 450 years of history have shaped the intriguing backdrop for the first hotel of this distinctly vibrant brand. Surrounded by nature's finest gifts that have been wisely protected for generations, the area is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. Diving at the wrecks of over 90 documented shipwrecks, canoeing, and deep water fishing, are just a few of the many options available in addition to the Gulf Islands National Seashore. Historical sites, museums, art galleries and boutique shopping complete this multi-faceted vacation destination.
"Having grown up in Mobile, Pensacola Beach was the first Florida I ever knew, long before I headed to Key West," says Jimmy Buffett. "I am a child of the Gulf Coast, and it is great to be coming home and making a commitment to Pensacola and the Gulf Coast, especially at this time. We have a lot of work ahead of us, but we have a great bunch of people to do it. Fins Up Pensacola, here we come."
