Hall is best known as offbeat coroner Dr. Albert Robbins on CBS TV’s award-winning drama “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.” He just completed his 10th season on the show that continues to be one of the nation’s highest-rated television series.
In celebration of its 85th Birthday, the Opry has invited personalities such as Hall from outside the country world who have an interest in music to sit in with the Opry band or to perform a song on country music’s most revered stage. On June 12, Chef Duff Goldman and Sous Chef Geof Manthorne of the Food Network’s “Ace of Cakes” performed alongside Opry legend Charley Pride in addition to presenting the Opry with a one-of-kind cake they’d created.
Hall is a devoted community activist and one of the most prominent disabled actors working today. He serves on the Board of Directors of the National Organization on Disability, completed a term as a National Board Member of the Screen Actors Guild, and is the National Chairman of the Performers with Disabilities Caucus for SAG, AFTRA and EQUITY. He will be a musical guest on “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” on CBS this Mon., June 21.
The actor/musician will sign copies of his new CD at Opry Originals (3rd and Broadway) immediately following the night’s Opry performance, 9:15-10:00 p.m.
